Acrylic Landscapes
When I paint landscapes, I do so from my imagination---without looking at any photo for reference. This gives me the freedom to concentrate on the colors, shapes, and textures in the landscape and not worry about the little details. I enjoy using experimental techniques to obtain the unique textures in my work: pouring through tissue, painting on top of tissue paper or charcoal drawings, spraying/dripping paint, monotyping, and in some cases, marbling over the top of the painting.
